  • No carrier logos for the Galaxy S8 in the US

No carrier logos for the Galaxy S8 in the US

1 month ago - By GSMArena

The Galaxy S8 has an outstanding design and Samsung managed to keep it clear of any carrier logos. The top and bottom bezels on the front of the device are too narrow for the Korean company's name, so it went on the back, eventually leaving no place for the carriers. That way the Galaxy S8/S8+ is the first Galaxy flagship to not have any telecom logos on its body.
AT&T and Verizon will sell the phones without their planet or check mark, respectively. The other two carriers in the US, T-Mobile and Sprint, stopped doing this a while ago. Missing logo on the device shouldn't...

The top-of-the-line Samsungs - at least until the Note gets here - will be available in shops today with prices starting at $720 . For those already committed to buying, it's going to be a tough choice this time around because the phones don't suffer from the usual big / small usability tradeoffs.
See, the Galaxy S8 has 36 percent more viewing area than the Galaxy S7, and the screen now covers 83 percent of the front face. That's allowed Samsung to pack more screen into a slimmer but sightly longer handset...
