    After sending us down into a colourful ocean with Abzu , developers Giant Squid will have us dashing and gliding through a moody forest in their next game, The Pathless. It looks like another joyous celebration of movement and nature, only with a bit more murder aimed in the direction of giant beasties. I know this comparison is overplayed but: bit of a smack of Shadow Of The Colossus. The Pathless is due in 2019, so for now let's enjoy the announcement trailer.

While they're still working on No Man's Sky, this is a game they classify as a “Hello Games Short”, a wee side-project made by two of their team.     Games, the developer behind No Man's Sky and Joe Danger, has announced a smaller title called The Last Campfire at The Game Awards 2018.
    The Last Campfire is described as an adventure, telling the story of a lost Ember searching for meaning and a way home. It's said to be filled with lost folk, strange creatures and mysterious ruins set in a beautiful wilderness. The trailer shows the player walking, rowing and climbing on their journey home.
    The developer is calling it a “Hello Games Short,” which, much like a Pixar short film, is designed to foster creativity and strengthen new voices...

    Atlas, the next game from ARK: Survival Evolved developer Studio Wildcard, was announced tonight during The Game Awards.
    The open-world survival MMO will be released on PC via Steam on December 13, before coming to Xbox One in 2019 through Microsoft's Xbox Game Preview program.
    Studio Wildcard describes Atlas as a "fantasy pirate adventure," promising shipbuilding, sailing, PvP battles, exploration, a vast skill tree, and creatures ranging from shoulder-mounted parrots to "gigantic sea monsters of legend."     Tonight at The Game Awards, Ark: Survival Evolved developer Studio Wildcard announced a new game. Atlas, as it's called, is an open-world survival MMO. It's launching next week on PC, with a console version coming in 2019 through the Xbox One Game Preview program. Atlas reportedly supports 40,000 concurrent players; and in terms of map size, it's 1,200 times the size of an Ark server, the developers said.
