    Sony's dishing out the treats this Halloween with an announcement trailer for a PlayStation cult classic. The spooky hack-and-slash MediEvil will be rising from the grave with a new 4K remastered version that's coming in 2019. While the development team has kept the old bones of the franchise intact, the game looks to be getting a serious overhaul in terms of gameplay and graphics with new animations, responsive controls and a significantly higher pixel count.     It has been almost a year since Sony announced that it is developing a remake of the classic adventure game, MediEvil. Now, the studio has released the upcoming game's first trailer that features massive graphical improvements. MediEvil was initially released in 1998 for the PlayStation and was followed by a sequel in 2000 and a “reimagining” in 2005 for the PSP. MediEvil takes players to the story of the resurrected knight Sir Daniel Fortesque, who was brought back to life to engage in battle with the evil wizard Zardock.     First MediEvil PS4 Remake Trailer Rises To Save Gallowmere

    Sony announced the MediEvil PS4 remake at the end of 2017 , and now we're getting our first look at the new visage of Sir Dan Fortesque courtesy of his debut trailer.
    The title is being handled by Sony's International Software Development team along with Other Ocean Interactive, and is billed as being a "full remake" of the original PlayStation title, so it'll be interesting to what degree at all it goes beyond giving the game a visual update.
